Worth to see

Sint Odilienberg is a small charming village. It’s suggested to go for a walk and have some pleasant free time on the nice streets, and to take a look at the Basilica (Basiliek Van De HH. Wiro) and the Roerstreek Museum.

The basilica is a romanesque building with two towers dating from the eleventh century. Next to the basilica is a 10th century chapel, originally the parish church.

The Roerstreek Museum is near the Basilica, and offers some nice collections (Archeology, Geology and Coin Collection, a reconstruction of a mammoth, Painting of the church of St. Odiliƫnberg from 1859 and many other curiosities). www.roerstreekmuseum.nl

Mill of Sint Odilienberg (Molen van Verbeek)Sint Odilienberg has a historic mill that is a museum also. The mill survived the Second World War relatively unscathed, despite several other buildings in the area suffering heavy damage. The Verbeek Mill is open to the public, and guided tours of the mill can be arranged upon request. www.molenvanverbeek.nl
